Private Companionship & Accompaniment in St. John's

Z Home Care provides private-pay, non-clinical companionship and accompaniment for seniors and adults in St. John's and surrounding Northeast Avalon communities. Services are arranged and paid for directly by clients or their families. Support may be provided in the client's home or while attending appointments, community activities, family occasions, religious services, funerals, and other important events.

One-time companionship visits and ongoing scheduled companionship are available, subject to an intake review, service suitability, and caregiver availability.

Personalized Support for Meaningful Moments

Companionship can be valuable both at home and in the community. Some clients benefit from regular social visits, while others may need a dependable person with them during an appointment, family gathering, religious service, funeral, or another important occasion.

Z Home Care considers the client's communication style, interests, routines, language, culture, comfort, and support needs when arranging services. Caregiver assignments remain subject to availability, suitability, and the results of the intake review.

One-Time Companionship Requests

Not every situation requires an ongoing schedule. Z Home Care can arrange a single private visit — at home, at an appointment, or at a family, community, religious or funeral occasion. One-time bookings are reviewed individually to confirm the request falls within our service scope and that a suitable caregiver is available for the requested date and time.

• Three-hour minimum booking.
• $32 per hour plus applicable tax; $54 per hour plus applicable tax on public holidays.
• No contract and no ongoing commitment.
• Short-notice requests are reviewed promptly, but a date, time or specific caregiver cannot be guaranteed until arrangements are confirmed.
