Accessibility Statement
Z Home Care is committed to serving every senior and family with dignity — including how you experience our website. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.
Last updated: 2026.
Our commitment
We believe that people of all abilities should be able to learn about our services and reach us easily. We design and review greenz.co with older adults, low-vision users, keyboard users, and assistive-technology users in mind.
Standards we work to
- WCAG 2.2, Level AA — international accessibility guidelines.
- Newfoundland and Labrador's Accessibility Act and its evolving standards.
What we've built in
- Semantic HTML, single main landmark per page, and clear heading structure.
- Keyboard-navigable menus, forms, and buttons with visible focus states.
- Descriptive alt text on informative images and empty alt text on decorative images.
- Colour contrast ratios that meet or exceed WCAG AA for body text.
- Labelled form fields with visible error messages.
- Text that scales cleanly with browser zoom and mobile pinch-zoom (no zoom disabled).
- Descriptive link text — no "click here" — and skip-to-content links where useful.
Known limitations
We are continually improving. If you find a page, PDF, or component that is difficult to use with assistive technology, please tell us so we can fix it.
Accessible care in the home
Accessibility is also about how our caregivers work. Our team is trained to communicate patiently, adjust to hearing or vision loss, respect mobility limitations, and support dementia clients with calm, orientation-based approaches.
